My name is Melanie. I'm a college student studying (more or less) Mass Communications.

When I was younger I had two different diaries, and I updated them rather frequently. It's funny looking back and reading some of the most useless shit you write in your diary as a kid. Of course at the time I thought it was OMG-worthy. So, I'm wondering what this will be like when I go back over posts and re-read them.

I was born and raised in California, and I still live in this weird ass state. I've probably been everywhere possible in So. Cal- my ridiculous car mileage will vouch for me on that one. I'd like to move...but I'd probably miss it, so I don't know yet.

I'm obsessed with music. I love hearing undiscovered talent as well. It's always cool when you discover stuff that everyone else hasn't caught onto yet, it's great! But...then when they hit it big and become mainstream...sucks for you. You're not as cool anymore.

I'm making some changes in my life among the company I keep, which is very difficult at times- but I'm getting through it.

I don't really know what this journal will be about. Shit that happens everyday, I guess.
